A banner can be considered a flag or other little bit of cloth bearing symbolic, company logo, slogan or other meaning. A flag whose design is equivalent to the shield in a jacket of hands (but usually in a square or rectangular condition) is named a banner of hands. Also, a pub form little bit of non-cloth advertising materials having a name, slogan, or other marketing note.
Banner-making can be an ancient craft. Chapel banners commonly portray the saint to whom the cathedral is dedicated.
The term derives from French term “banni?re” and past due Latin bandum, a material out which a flag is manufactured (Latin: banderia, Italian: bandiera, Portuguese: bandeira, Spanish: bandera). The German terminology developed the term to mean the official edict or proclamation and since such written requests often prohibited some type of real human activity, bandum assumed this is of your ban, control, interdict or excommunication. Banns gets the same origin indicating the official proclamation, and give up methods to change commitment or disobey requests, semantically “to leave the fabric or flag”.
