A banner can be considered a flag or other little bit of cloth bearing symbolic, logo design, slogan or other note. A flag whose design is equivalent to the shield in a jacket of forearms (but usually in a square or rectangular form) is named a banner of forearms. Also, a club form little bit of non-cloth advertising materials showing off a name, slogan, or other marketing concept.
Banner-making can be an ancient craft. Cathedral banners commonly portray the saint to whom the cathedral is dedicated.
The term derives from French phrase “banni?re” and past due Latin bandum, a fabric out which a flag is manufactured (Latin: banderia, Italian: bandiera, Portuguese: bandeira, Spanish: bandera).
