A banner can be considered a flag or other little bit of cloth bearing symbolic, emblem, slogan or other meaning. A flag whose design is equivalent to the shield in a layer of biceps and triceps (but usually in a square or rectangular form) is named a banner of hands. Also, a pub form little bit of non-cloth advertising materials wearing a name, slogan, or other marketing meaning.
Banner-making can be an ancient craft. Cathedral banners commonly portray the saint to whom the cathedral is dedicated.
The term derives from French expression “banni?re” and past due Latin bandum, a towel out which a flag is manufactured (Latin: banderia, Italian: bandiera, Portuguese: bandeira, Spanish: bandera). The German dialect developed the term to mean the official edict or proclamation and since such written requests often prohibited some type of real human activity, bandum assumed this is of the ban, control, interdict or excommunication. Banns gets the same origin indicating the official proclamation, and get away from methods to change devotion or disobey purchases, semantically “to leave the fabric or flag”.
